The Academy of Urban Planning and Engineering (AUPE), a leading Brooklyn STEM high school, is proud to announce the successful launch of our Community Service Club’s first event!
Today, 19 dedicated members of our community service team partnered with NYC Parks to clean up Highland Park in Brooklyn. This initiative, part of our October focus on environmental impact, saw students actively removing invasive plant species and planting beneficial ones. Led by IA Assistant Principal Ms. Flore, this event exemplifies AUPE’s commitment to fostering leadership and giving back to our local neighborhood.
At AUPE, education extends far beyond the classroom. Our active student life encourages hands-on learning and real-world problem-solving. This environmental project not only beautifies our community but also provides students with valuable experience in ecological conservation and teamwork.
Events like these showcase why AUPE is recognized as one of the top high schools in Brooklyn. We’re not just shaping great students; we’re nurturing responsible citizens and future leaders who understand the importance of community engagement and environmental stewardship.
Stay tuned for more exciting initiatives from AUPE’s Community Service Club as we continue to make a positive impact in Brooklyn!
